Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) Certifications

A Substance Abuse professional evaluates employees who have violated drug and alcohol program regulations and makes recommendations as part of returning to a safety sensitive position.

  • They conduct a comprehensive face-to-face assessment and clinical evaluation to determine what level of assistance the employee needs in resolving problems associated with alcohol use or prohibited drug use

  • Recommends a course of education and/or treatment with which the employee must comply prior to returning to DOT safety-senstiive duty

  • Serve as a referral source to assist the employee’s entry into an acceptable program

  • Conducts a face-to-face- follow-up evaluation with the employee to determine if the individual has demonstrated successful compliance with recommendations of the initial evaluation and has made appropriate clinical progress sufficient to return to duty

  • Develops and directs a follow-up testing plan for the employee returning to work following successful compliance

  • Provide the employee and employer with recommendations for continuing care

Gottman Trained Therapist

Becoming a Certified Gottman Therapist is one of the final steps in becoming a career couples therapist. Gottman trained therapists help couples create great meaning and connection in their relationships.

A therapist is considered to be a Gottman Trained Therapist when:

  • They have undergone extensive training completes all three levels of the Gottman method

  • This includes the modules treating Trauma & Affairs and Couples & Addiction Recovery

  • Regularly meeting with a Gottman Certified mentor for continual training and support with up-to-date information

Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselors (CCMHC) have earned their national certification after a graduate school course, a 6-month internship, and passing a rigorous clinical exam. This is a journey that takes multiple years. With this certification, you can be assured that your counselor offers the highest standards of practice in clinical mental health counseling. They have also met stringent education, examination, supervision, experience, and ethical requirements to obtain this certification.

Christian Counselor

A Christian Counselor is an individual who follows a Biblical approach to solving problems.

  • It involves a therapist who is immersed in their own walk with Christ, having a relationship with Jesus Christ and provides Biblically backed solutions.

  • Therapists provide help, healing and restoration to your family with Christian perspectives that you can trust!

Motivational Interviewing Approved Trainer

In addition to being part of the Motivational Interview Network of Trainers (MINT), Levine Health and Wellness is now a Motivational Interviewing Approved Trainer. Becoming a member of MINT currently requires application and completion of a MINT-sponsored Annual Training New Trainers (TNT) program or a regional MINT-endorsed TNT. A successful applicant will demonstrate a strong proficiency of MI practices through training experience and a standardized patient interview.

To obtain this certification, sessions were recorded to showcase that Levine Health and Wellness met all the benchmarks which demonstrates that our practice is consistent with clinical skills that improve outcomes.

Levine Health and Wellness also has completed trainings for Intermediate and Advanced levels, becoming a Level I coder, and taking the training for MI supervision.
